Our Values - Accessibility

In order to make systemic change we intend to change the way people look at problems, but in order to get started we have to address existing systems. There are major systemic barriers and roadblocks keeping people from education and the mobility they would require to make an impact. If we intend to change those systems we have to be clear about them from the beginning.

Literacy rates have long been linked to reductions in inequality, similarly countries with extensively available free education are also linked with a high degree of social mobility. Globally around 86% of the population above 15 years of age are literate due in part to improvements in the accessibility of education. If we expect to see bigger changes in the world we must similarly raise the expectations we have for sustainability education and multi-disciplinary learning.

This is why we have committed to making all of our content freely available online. The Time Repair Corporation believes that access to information is a basic requirement for innovation, and placing a price tag on it becomes a form of gatekeeping. Who should decide what the future will look like? Who should we pay to make the world more sustainable? This gives a flawed perspective, purchasing doses of sustainability or a subscription of a better future does not address the problem. Furthermore many of the root causes of sustainability problems are also causes of inequality, income disparity, and poor social mobility.

We are doing everything we can to ensure that anyone who comes to The Time Repair Corporation will have the same experience regardless of background, gender, creed, orientation, preferred pronouns , or ethnicity. Everyone has a stake in the future, and we should welcome everyone who supports an open and balanced world.
