Emotional Intelligence and Guerrilla Sustainability

Modern curricula require materials that address emotional intelligence and health, yet materials on the subject may not reflect the digital age that students find themselves living in.

Our solution is to address it by giving students a practical view of themselves, their values, goals, and the way that they are seen by businesses and society, while giving them a practical project that lets them organize and motivate one another. We lead them from an understanding of their emotional health directly into a workshop where they create their own guerrilla sustainability projects with classmates, designed to grow and become viable operations, that they can pitch to administrators or others for resources or support. They do all of this by the time the workshop has ended and know clear steps that they can take to push their project forward, or to start organizing another from scratch, anytime.

Once they have completed this workshop they not only know a few techniques they can use to break away from online addictions, but they know how to establish useful habits, begin and follow the design cycle, and make active changes in their communities! Students will understand how Science, History, and Mathematics all link to the changes they will make over time.

We are preparing a new round of pilots with schools who want to run a digital version of this workshop, reach out to us if you would like to be considered!
